GOOD FOOD FOR GOOD GLUCOSE LEVELS

This disease where blood glucose is high either due to the lack or insufficiency of the hormone Insulin, (responsible for transporting glucose to the cells) or due to failure in the cell's insulin receptors,  The first quiestion I have heard from my patients is: "what to eat?" 

 

In recent years it has been considered in the WHO to call it a reversible disease since maintaining an adequate diet can even keep glucose within normal limits without the need for medication. But ... what should you eat to achieve it?

Here I show you some foods that will help lower or raise your blood glucose. Just remember that EVERYTHING depends on the specific condition of the person, so you should make an appointment with your expert nutritionist.

 

White flours such as cookies, pasta or rice.

Greasy foods such as battered or fried.

Fatty meats such as barbecue, carnitas, jerky, pork rinds or yellow or melting cheeses.

Sausages, fried foods, fried foods, soft drinks, juices (even natural ones), candies, ice cream and sweeteners.

 

This food will raise your glucose to dangerous levels, even when the amount consumed is small.

You should opt for grilled, baked, or roasted foods such as: brown rice, vegetables (all), whole wheat bread, lean meat (breast, fillet, loin, fish), milk and yogurt (0% fat), and avoid to consume seeds (walnuts, almonds, peanuts) and legumes (beans, lentils, broad beans, peas and soy).

 

As you will see, it is not a matter of eating less, but to know what you can eat especially for your condition.
